Local Systemic Change Final Report Guidelines

posted to site: 11/07/2002

Your final report will need to be submitted in NSF's new FastLane format. The information that follows is intended as guidance in preparing your final report and "fitting" the information into the FastLane format. If you encounter any difficulty or have suggestions about how this might be improved for next year, we would appreciate hearing from you.

Please remember that all of your annual reports are on file, so there is no need to repeat that information. However you may wish to highlight selected accomplishments from prior years.

In FastLane, you will find these categories which we suggest you use to submit information for the final report:

  • Activities and Findings
  • Publications and Products
  • Contributions

In the Activities and Findings section, please include:

  1. A brief summary of the impact of the professional development your project has provided, including the number of teachers reached for 100/130 or more hours and the extent of participation by principals and other administrators.
  2. A brief summary of the extent of implementation of the designated instructional materials.
  3. A brief summary of the degree of change in district and school policies.
  4. Any unanticipated outcomes in your project.

In the Publications and Products section, please include any websites, as well as publications or other products resulting from work during the life of the project.

In the Contributions section, please share with NSF any lessons learned and provide evidence in support of this learning. Please share other advice that you think essential for NSF and/or the field to know if LSC projects are to become even more effective. In other words, if you were to begin you work all over again with new districts, what have you learned that would cause you to do some things differently? Based on what evidence or experience?
